PART 2 - PRODUCTS

2.01 APPROVED MANUFACTURERS

A. Prefabricated "Hyde Park Raised Panel System" as manufactured by The Hyde Park Lumber Company consisting of:

1.Premitered "Panel-lok gridwork" stile rail and snap-in molding.
2.Plywood Veneered Panels: Dimensionally stable S ply plywood veneer, premitered and having the back recesses for tight construction

2.02 MATERIALS

A. Hardwood Lumber: Graded in accordance with AWI Lumber Grade 11, with plain sawn grain of quality suitable for transparent finish

B. Hardwood Plywood: Graded in accordance with AWI Veneer Face Grade
A: S ply hardwood veneer core;

1.Overall Plywood Thickness - 3/4"
2.Veneer Face Grade - AWI Grade A

C. Fastners: Of size and type to suit application; 6d finish in concealed locations and 3d in exposed locations

2.03 FABRICATION

A. Panel-lok gridwork:

1. Provide 3/4" thick stile, rail and holddown components machined for hardwood spline joints

B. Raised Panels and Holddown Trim

1. Provide 3/4" thick overall panel with I 1/2" wide panel raise. Miter and reinforce all panel corners
2. Machine Panel-lok holddown trim and miter for each panel
3. Panels with surface applied trim is unacceptable

2.03 FINISHES

A. Field Finish: recommend using AWI CustomFinish System TR-4 and OP-4 for varnish finishing

Factory finish available using AWI Premium Finish System TR-2 and OP-2
